Was a good class today :) - I appreciate having to think in your classes, it helps me concentrate so much more on what I'm supposed to be doing (especially for when I get distracted by watching and trying to help another set! ;)

Can I ask a question I meant to ask in class but forgot? I'd like to ask if you could tell me the thing that would improve each of my steps the most (e.g. three beat emphasis in my fast time setting or my turnout in my travelling)... it would be very helpful to know so I can concentrate on it when I'm doing other classes and social (and especially since Freshers weekend is coming up -lots of dancing! :)

Hi, I really enjoyed dancing to the piano it made a nice change from the bands, not to mention reminded me of the Toon :D.

Jo, sorry for not responding. Been far too busy recently. Only 3 more weeks and things should start to ease off :)

Probably the things you need to think about most are pointing your foot, getting a straight leg, and the three beat pas de basque.

BTW, I'd meant to comment that we varied the presentation of Flowers of Edinburgh to effectively make it a 2 couple dance. To make this work you need to keep the sets very close together as you need to borrow a standing couple from the next set down.

This choreography was devised by Stuart Adam.
